What's Casey Anthony Up to These Days?

Casey Anthony was forced into hiding after her sentencing. But last week, a purported video of the alleged child killer appeared on YouTube. Shortly thereafter, NBC News confirmed that the woman featured was, in fact, the real Casey Anthony. She's sporting a completely new look that's reminiscent of a hot librarian. How does it compare to her old look, and what does she have to say for herself?

Casey Anthony, the young woman accused — and then acquitted — of killing her daughter, dropped off the radar after her sentencing in early July.

Thanks to Nancy Grace’s efforts, the allegedly murderous hottie soon became the most-hated woman in America. Rumors of attacks on Tot Mom look-alikes ran rampant, a burly African-American male named Casey Anthony had his Facebook wall defaced, and the real Casey Anthony was forced into hiding.

Within the past week, however, a purported video of the alleged child killer appeared on YouTube. Shortly thereafter, NBC News confirmed that the woman featured was, in fact, the real Casey Anthony.

She’s sporting a completely new look that’s reminiscent of a hot librarian. How does it compare to her old look, and what does she have to say for herself?

As we all know, Tot Mom Hot Mom was sentenced to a year of probation last August. The video was apparently filmed on October 13, 2011, and in the video, Ms. Anthony states that she’ll “be here at least until February… the end of February.” Looks like someone is counting on get off of probation early.

As you can see, Casey has a new ‘do. She opted to chop off her luxurious, dark brown tresses in favor of a short, blonde bob. The glasses are a new touch, and they make her look — dare we say — intelligent. She was even kind enough to show her audience a sparing amount of cleavage.

New York Magazine has summarized the four minute and 20 second video in two sentences:

Casey Anthony appears in a newly discovered, strange YouTube video with a blonde bob and glasses, speaking directly into the camera about probation and adopting a dog. She says it’s “just a little surreal how much things have changed since July and how many things haven’t changed,” and rambles about how nice it is to own a computer.

If you aren’t able to watch the video at work, Mediaite has provided a transcript (available here).

One of Casey’s attorneys, J. Cheney Mason, claims that the video was released without authorization. The Chicago Tribune has more information:

[O]ne of Anthony’s lawyers fired back, calling the video release “unauthorized” and “inappropriate.”

Defense attorney J. Cheney Mason said Anthony was “maintaining some notes for her personal use and for future counseling purposes.”

He insisted Anthony . . . did not release the video. Mason suggested it may have been hacked.

Yeah, just like Anthony Weiner’s Twitter account was hacked. We totally believe you. And without further ado, here’s the video:

Do us all a favor: please don’t kill the dog and then say it drowned in the pool. But if you do, make sure you shoot Michael Vick an email on your new computer beforehand. He can help you out.
