Texas Teacher on Trial for Allegedly Participating in a Gang Bang With Students

Ever since Mary Kay Letourneau’s illicit relationship with an underage student hit the news in 1995, our country has been fascinated with sex scandals involving female teachers. Teacher-student sex scandals have earned a permanent place in our national news coverage, because as we all know too well, there seems to be a new incident each year. The reporting is often intense, and thanks to Nancy Grace’s television takeover, a nationwide assault on the “too pretty for jail” defense was launched into being.

Recently, female teachers have been upping the ante, having sex with multiple students in what have been described as drug- and alcohol-fueled orgies. Take, for example, Stacy Schuler, an Ohio teacher who was convicted of sexual battery after having threesomes with her students.

But the most recent teacher-student sex scandal takes the cake, if only because the allegations involve five students filming amateur porn with their teacher. Until now, we’d never heard of a case that involved so many young men all at the same time. But as they say, everything’s bigger in Texas — including the gang bangs….

Brittni Colleps, a former English teacher and a married mother of three, stands accused of having sex with five high school students, all of whom were of age, while she was working at Kennedale High School, in Texas.

The students involved in this case allege that Colleps started their relationship by sending them rather innocuous text messages, which then devolved into graphic sexts, and finally moved on to becoming the preferred method for arranging sexual meetings with her students. Colleps doesn’t exactly sound like one of the GCBs that we learned about on television.

But perhaps the most damning bit of evidence in this case is the fact that one of her alleged sexual romps was caught on camera. The Star-Telegram has the details (the students used pseudonyms in court):

Jurors were shown a graphic cellphone video of the last encounter, which Aaron testified showed Colleps having sex with Aaron and three other students. The video, taken on Aaron’s phone by another student, did not show Colleps’ face. It showed a woman’s back as she was having intercourse with at least two different students while the others were in the room.

Shown to reporters after the trial adjourned for the day, the video occasionally panned the faces of the students as they laughed, smiled and made hand gestures for the camera.

Aaron testified that the woman in the video was Colleps, pointing out a distinctive tattoo on her lower back.

He said that Colleps had remarked, “Don’t put the light in my eyes” as the other student, “Jordan,” began filming.

Guys at my high school gang-banged their English teacher all the time; it was no big deal. But in this case, it is a big deal, because in the Lone Star state, it’s against the law for teachers to have improper relationships with students, regardless of their age. If convicted, Colleps could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison, as well as a $10,000 fine for each of the counts that she faces.

So how’s her husband taking the news that his wife was allegedly getting taken to pound town? According to the New York Daily News, Christopher Colleps seems to be employing a “Stand by Your (Wo)man” technique:

“I hope you will not pass judgment on her because you don’t have all the facts or details according to this situation,” Christopher Colleps said in May 2011, according to KDFW. “I want you to know I love my wife. I have loved my wife since I laid eyes on her 11 years ago. I have always supported my wife and will continue to support her through this entire ordeal.”

Chris, for all of the times your wife allegedly got slammed by teenagers, we hope you’re prepared to go visit her in the slammer. For now, we bet our readers will have fun trying to find her alleged porno debut online.

UPDATE (3:34 p.m.): After less than an hour of deliberation, Brittni Colleps was found guilty this morning of each of the counts against her. She is scheduled to be sentenced later today.
