2. Bouhan, Williams & Levy: This 17-lawyer firm in Georgia kept things short and sweet in its nomination blurb:
Our office, Bouhan, Williams & Levy, is housed in the Armstrong House in Savannah. It was featured in the movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil. Go to www.bouhan.com. There is no finer office in the country.
Here’s what Mary Kate had to say about their offices:
Their office is in Armstrong House, which is a restored mansion in Savannah. It’s completely gorgeous and unique among the rest of the submissions. The “conference room” is a formal dining room — and look at the private offices!
The decor is a little old-fashioned for my tastes (I prefer a more modern aesthetic), but it’s undeniably beautiful and well-executed. Check out some of the photos from the generous spread in South Magazine.
Here’s the exterior:
Wouldn’t you be impressed if you walked into a law firm and encountered a foyer like this?
Here’s the dining room turned conference room that Mary Kate so admired. Is there a room in this office that does not have a fireplace?
The private offices at Bouhan, Williams & Levy are no less magnificent. Check out the office of partner Walter Hartridge, with endless wood paneling:
This is the office of Frank “Sonny” Seiler (which I personally like even more than Hartridge’s; click for a more detailed view):
Our next contender also involves a restored historic building….
