Lawyerly Lairs: Sixth-Year Associate Snags Seven-Figure Pad

How many sixth-year associates can afford $2 million apartments?

The Observer describes the co-op apartment as “fairly spacious, with three bedrooms on the entry level and another one down below.” The listing, by Wendy Stark of Corcoran, waxes more lyrical:

A loft-style, high-ceiling, beautifully designed and extremely spacious duplex in a vibrant Clinton location, this home feels like a large house in perfect move-in condition. It boasts a living room and entertainment space flooded with southern light, three working fireplaces, flexible, flowing space, unheard-of amounts of storage, and an architect design by Hariri and Hariri that was featured in “Metropolitan Home” magazine.

Sounds lovely. Here’s the main living area, which “integrates custom designed sculpted shelves, cabinets and innovative lighting that provide a dramatic and comfortable environment.” Note the working fireplace and generous light:

And here is the “stunning state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, with double Viking stove and Sub-Zero fridge”:

It adjoins a nicely sized dining area, which looks like it could seat at least six (add chairs at the head and the foot of the table):
