Did This Lawyer Allow Lamar Odom To Review Her Client Files While He Was High On Crack?

This seems too ridiculous to be true, but we've got her on film admitting to it!

Last month, we brought you the titillating tale of Polina Polonsky, a “gorgeous brunette lawyer” who allegedly had an affair with Khloe Kardashian’s husband, NBA player Lamar Odom. Although it sounds like a Hollywood divorce train wreck in the making, sources claim Khloe and Lamar are going to stay together, even though the 6’10” free agent is reportedly battling an addiction to crack cocaine, an odd drug of choice for a man of his wealth.

We know what you must be thinking: “Again with the Kardashian crap? Who cares if Lamar cheated on a Wookiee?” But today we think you’re going to care about the Kardashians if only because the lawyer involved in this torrid affair may have committed a serious breach of her ethical duties to clients at her firm.

What did this comely criminal defense attorney do that could have been so bad? Well, if your case didn’t go as planned, it may be because a washed-up basketball player like Lamar Odom was doing your legal work….

In a recent interview with TMZ, Polina Polonsky was asked about all of the important details of her illicit relationship with Odom, including scandalous inquiries about his purported use and abuse of drugs. During the course of the interview, the pulchritudinous Pepperdine Law grad revealed just enough information about the alleged crack addict’s interactions with her case files to get an ethical spanking from the California Bar.

At the outset of the interview, Polonsky wondered if she could “claim attorney-client privilege” as to whether she ever witnessed the ex-Clippers star smoking crack, even though he wasn’t her client. Apparently you don’t need to know very much to pass the MPRE these days.

When further pressed on the issue, Polonsky admitted that from time to time, she did witness Odom doing drugs in her home. Since Polonsky states that she and Lamar “did everything together,” and since he later called her a “crack head,” query whether she joined the athlete in his adventures in smoking crack.

It was shortly thereafter that Polonsky unleashed this bombshell during the interview:

Polina Polonsky: I made him help me with some of my work.

Harvey Levin (TMZ): Your legal work? (incredulously)

Polina Polonsky: I would give him a file and say, “Here, can you please summarize this for me?” I don’t think he actually did it, but I asked him to.

She doesn’t think he did it? That’s not exactly a defense that would stand up in court. A source who tipped us off on this story notes: “Confidentiality? Attorney-client privilege? Waiving said privilege? Where do I even begin?” The icing on the cake is that Lamar Odom may have been high on crack when he allegedly reviewed Polonsky’s files. This doesn’t bode well for her continued employment at Pensanti & Associates.

Speaking of being in a drug-induced haze, Polonsky opines that if Lamar had stayed with her instead of going back to his wife, his drug use wouldn’t have “spiraled out of control.” Why’s that? “I’m an attorney. I work. I have to wake up every morning, whether I like it or not. I have clients in custody. I need to be in court.” As if those things would make any difference to a crack-hungry drug fiend.

Needless to say, the moral of the story here is that you should always keep your legs closed to married men — especially the ones who are alleged to have a crack habit. Being remembered as the lawyer who banged an NBA player who was so down on his luck that he married a lesser Kardashian and may have developed a penchant for one of the most undesirable drugs possible can’t be good for client development.
