Caption Contest Finalists: The Babes Of Biglaw

Sorry to disappoint you, but no, we didn’t mean “babes” as in “gorgeous men” or “beautiful women.”

Earlier this week, we asked readers to submit possible captions for this photo:

Let’s have a look at what our readers came up with, and vote on the finalists…

Here are the finalists, which were decent, despite your whining and moaning (a few with the most “likes” from readers in Disqus, and a few underrated captions that received the most “likes” from yours truly):

A. This was installed 10 years ago and has clearly seen as much use as our other “benefits” such as 3 weeks of vacation, paternity leave, telecommuting and reduced-hours alternative partner track.

B. The decision to add changing tables for the elderly partners is even more evidence that Baby Boomers do not have a clue when to retire.

C. Contract attorneys were given workspaces in familiar surroundings.

D. Please remember to log your time as “parental leave” when using this device.

E. Warning: Only use spanking table for unpaid interns. Actual employees have Title VII rights.

F. It’s not a baby changing station, it’s a rainmaker’s penis shelf.

G. Biglaw could have used these 4 or 5 years ago when associates were crapping their pants every time they were called into a partner’s office.

H. Yeah, we put in the changing tables to show we are family friendly. Unfortunately, no one here knows how to use it and it is just stuck in this position taking up valuable real estate. A true pity because we could have put at least 3 doc reviewers in that space.

I. Wanting to show they aren’t a sexist firm, Weil Gotshal installed changing tables in all of the women’s restrooms located in their Dallas office. Unfortunately, Weil realized this a little too late as all of their female partners quit the week before.

Please vote for your favorite caption — preferably one with words — in our poll, which will be open through SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, at 11:59 P.M. (Eastern time). Thank you very much!
