The New York Bar Exam Results Are Out!

OMG, the results of the July 2013 New York bar exam have been released!

On Tuesday afternoon, we started receiving tips about the release of the New York Bar results for the July 2013 administration of the exam. We found this to be really odd because it’s not even November yet. In fact, it’s not even Halloween yet. We’ve got to say, the members of the New York Board of Law Examiners have a pretty sick sense of humor if this is their idea of holiday fun.

What kind of frights or delights are in store for New York bar examinees when they open their email? Let’s find out.

Trick or treat…

Here’s what the New York BOLE website said, as of this afternoon:

The results for the July 2013 New York State bar examination will be released on October 30, 2013. The results will be sent to the candidates by email to the last address on file with the Board. Please note that there may be some delays in receiving the email depending on security issues with individual email providers. The results will also be available to the candidates by using the private lookup link that will be available on this site on October 30. The public list of the names of the passing candidates will be available on this site after 12:00 pm on October 31, 2013.

Well, it’s after midnight, so if you haven’t received your email yet, here’s the official link to the results.

Those who passed the test received messages that looked a little like this:

Here are reactions from ATL readers who contacted us with the news (with lots of exclamation points!!!):

– I passed! Woot woot! Happier than a camel this Wednesday.

– A big relief! Now all that is left is to remember every place that I have lived for the past 10 years.

– OMG, I got drunk before I found out because I was so nervous. But now I’m drunk for a reason: I PASSED!!!

– My wife passed, and updated her resume immediately. Overachiever.

– My happiest Halloween yet!

Congratulations from all of us here at Above the Law to everyone who passed. If you didn’t, don’t worry, there’s always February. Feel free to celebrate your good news (or bemoan your failure) in the comments.
