Last week, we asked readers to submit possible captions for this picture (click to enlarge):

On Monday, you voted on the finalists, and now it’s time to announce the winner of our contest…

As is customary with our caption contests, we’ll now reveal the backstory behind the picture. A reader saw these hot cups at a discount party store in the Financial District here in New York City. Said our tipster, “Times are tough, eh?” We can’t be sure of that, because we’ve yet to see Davis Polk’s 2013 year-end bonuses.

But if our winning caption is any indication of the firm’s pricing model, DPW should be doing just fine:
