Which Firm Won The Coveted ATL Trivia Championship Belt?

After another great night of trivia, we have a new law firm champion.

Thanks again to everyone who came out to the ATL/Kaplan Bar Prep trivia night in New York last week! A number of firms gathered teams of lawyers and summer associates and joined the ATL crew at Connolly’s in Midtown to vie for firm bragging rights, Mini iPads, and our nearly inaugurated traveling trophy: the ATL Trivia Championship Belt.

And of course those who couldn’t succeed at trivia still got free food and some booze, because a trivia night is never a total loss.

If you think the belt looks cool — because it is — convince your firm to join us next time when the winners are forced to defend their title. Stay tuned to ATL for details.

So who won the inaugural challenge?

Congratulations to the champions from Herbert Smith Freehills. Here’s a shot of the team holding their newly won Mini iPads:

To prevail, the team had to weather the gauntlet of NYC and legal questions thrown at them. First up, a barrage of celebrity justice questions from Staci. Then they had to prove their knowledge of the NYC Subway system in a category read by our sponsors from Kaplan Bar Review. Then Elie regaled the audience with a round about legally-themed music, followed by an (overly) dramatic reading of lines from lawyer movies. Finally, Joe separated the wheat from the chaff with a brutal round about Biglaw history.

Thanks again to everyone for coming out, and thanks to our sponsors. And if you weren’t there this time, be sure to join us next time around.

Here are a few more pics, including an unfortunately red-eye heavy shot of the team lofting the championship belt:
