Biglaw, Hotties

Who Is New York’s Hottest Attorney?

We used to think that the Biglaw firm with the best-looking lawyers in New York City was Davis Polk, but then Paul Weiss brought sexy back in the Big Apple. Alas, their title was usurped in less than two years’ time by a challenger from another firm.

Who is she, and which firm does she hail from?

It’s none other than Elizabeth Kurpis. Here’s how the mergers-and-acquisitions lawyer is described by NY Blondes, the website that recently bestowed the title of “New York’s Hottest Attorney” upon her:

Elizabeth is often seen at various NY social events. She is with the law firm Mintz Levin and a graduate of Villanova Law School.

Kurpis is more than just a boring lawyer. She’s a socialite, fashionista, and philanthropist, too. There are about 200 pictures of her on Getty Images, and even more on Guest of a Guest, a website that covers high-society events, people, and places. As they say, blondes have more fun, and it certainly looks like Kurpis has taken the adage to heart. With a full social calendar, we wonder how she gets any work done.

Just in case you were wondering, Elizabeth Kurpis is one of those lawyers who claims that her worst habit is the “[p]ainstaking pursuit of perfection.” She knows how to “saber a Champagne bottle,” and she’s “incapable of doing anything in moderation” — Kurpis sounds like a great attorney to have on your team… in a beer pong match in a frat house basement. We bet she funnels like a champ.

Kurpis isn’t just a party girl, though. She graduated from BU (cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and Villanova (cum laude), where she served on law review. She has published 10 articles during her time as an attorney, worked on multimillion-dollar deals while at Mintz, and worked at Chadbourne & Parke before that.

We hope that Elizabeth Kurpis will be able to hang onto her title as New York’s Hottest Attorney for a while, if only because she sounds like such a blast. We wish her luck in all that she does.
