Caption Contest Winner: The Height Of Law School Toolishness

Earlier this week, we asked readers to submit possible captions for this picture:

On Wednesday, you voted on the finalists, and now it’s time to announce the winner of our contest…

As is customary with our caption contests, we’ll now reveal the backstory behind the picture. A reader sent it to us, wondering how a law student could possibly be such a tool. In case you haven’t checked the law journal citation yet, the author of this note is a 2014 graduate who wasted no time getting his tattoo. He obviously thinks quite highly of himself, so we’d like to congratulate him on all of his accomplishments.

Perhaps it was the sheer absurdity of the picture for this contest, but these were the best captions we’ve seen in a very long time. All of the finalists were winners in our book, but here’s the winner by the votes:

Richard Posner actually has epic full back and chest pieces just like this.

Thanks to everyone for suggesting comments and for voting. If you wrote the winning caption, feel free to email us, subject line “Caption Contest Winner,” to claim your prize (an Above the Law t-shirt).
