Caption Contest Finalists: Wherein Law Students Fight Over Politically Incorrect Margin Notes

Law students find the most ridiculous things to argue about...

Earlier this week, we asked readers to submit possible captions for this picture:

Let’s have a look at what our readers came up with, and vote on the finalists…

Here are the finalists for our latest caption contest, which were pretty great (a few with the most “likes” from readers in Disqus, and a few underrated captions that received the most “likes” from yours truly):

A. Do these idiots think that real world lawyers ever waste their time trolling other lawyers with puerile remarks in some kind of comment space?

B. Previous owner immediately adds “cited in widely circulated legal publication” to his resume.

C. Who’s douchier? The douche who trolls his own textbook or the douche who replies? — Obi Wan, 3L

D. Dammit — four groups of retards. Oliver Wendell Holmes said that three was enough!

E. “I want to be a lawyer because I love to argue, even with a book!”

F. Seems pretty unlikely. What are the chances of finding a douche in law school?

G. Is the first group of retards the ones paying law school tuition?

H. I just bought this book, and I agree with both of the previous comments.

I. Subsequent owner of the book is also the prior owner of the book.

J. “With enough practice scribbling in the margins of a used law book, someday I’ll get published on the wall of a truckstop Men’s Room.”

We imagine one of his best pick-up lines is: “Hey, baby, wanna cite check me?” Vote for your favorite caption in our poll, which will be open through SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12, at 11:59 P.M. (Eastern time).
