Duff McKagan, acting as himself on IFC’s sketch comedy show, Portlandia, during an intervention for Carrie Brownstein’s boyfriend, Sean, a tax lawyer who wanted to play the bass guitar in a band. Later in the episode, Sean goes on to play a sold-out, one-man show entitled “A Guide to 1099s,” where he sits at a desk on stage, answers tax law questions, and is met with cheers and requests for him to perform ordinary office tasks, like send a fax.
