Which SCOTUS Justice Went Drinking With George And Amal Clooney?

Who did you guess? Because it wasn’t Antonin Scalia. And sadly it wasn’t rock star Ruth Bader Ginsburg either.

Nope, the Hollywood/Legal power couple sat down at Harry Cipriani on Wednesday with Justice Sonia Sotomayor, which makes a lot of sense when you remember that Amal student-clerked for then-Second Circuit Judge Sotomayor.

Page Six reports:

Spies said the Clooneys arrived early and waited at the bar for Sotomayor before the trio were discreetly seated at a corner table.

As astute readers recall, Amal is in NYC this semester, teaching human rights law at Columbia Law (who can boast a much less controversial visiting human rights law instructor than NYU).

Her husband, who dabbles in acting, is in the city filming a new movie directed by Jodie Foster.

Justice Sotomayor made headlines this week for proclaiming that the Supreme Court is politicized by outsiders. Sorry Madam Justice, but buddying up to the highest profile liberal power couple not named “Clinton” doesn’t help your case.
