SCOTUS Finally Gets The Recognition It Deserves

Applesauce for EVERYONE!

We should start calling this law SCOTUScare.

— Justice Antonin Scalia, coining a phrase in his dissent in King v. Burwell, the case which maintained subsidies under the Affordable Care Act. (Yes, that Twitter handle has already been taken, and no, it isn’t really the innermost thoughts of the Court’s “wittiest” jurist.) Justice Scalia also referred to the majority’s opinion as “interpretive jiggery-pokery” and “pure applesauce.” Yay! Applesauce for EVERYONE.
