Meet The Podcasting Partner: A Conversation With Shearman's Richard Hsu

Columnist Zach Abramowitz gets into it with the Biglaw partner and host of Hsu Untied.

One of the bonuses of publishing interviews both on my own blog and right here on ATL is that I have gotten an opportunity to meet and build relationships with a variety of really interesting people, something I did not get to do as a lawyer.  At many Biglaw firms, junior associates are to be neither seen nor heard (like Buster Bluth at the Milford Academy), so I did not have much of an opportunity to interact with clients.

Well, it turns out that you can have a successful legal career and interview a wide variety of interesting people.  Take, for example, Richard Hsu, who is Partner and Global head of the Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions Practice Group at Shearman & Sterling (and if you are the masochistic type and want to feel bad about how little you have accomplished, I suggest you take a look at Richard’s LinkedIn profile). But, despite his busy schedule, Richard is also the host of a podcast series called Hsu Untied where he has interviewed personalities ranging from Guy Kawasaki to my pal David Lat, an interview I listened to yesterday and one which I highly recommend for ATL readers.

With that, let’s learn more about Richard.
