Another Job Opportunity For Graduating Law Students

If you're a 3L looking for a job after graduation, here's one opportunity to consider.

If you’re a law student interested in working for the federal government after graduation and missed the deadline for the Justice Department (and other) Honors Programs, despite our friendly reminder, don’t give up hope just yet. We know of at least one other path into the fulfilling and stable (even if not super-lucrative) ranks of federal government employment.

We mentioned it last year, as we try to mention every year: the Presidential Management Fellows Program. The PMF program is open to lawyers, but a law degree is not specifically required; you just need to have a graduate or professional degree by the time you start as a fellow. You can read more details over at the PMF website.

As you can see from this year’s timetable, applications will be accepted from September 28 through October 13. To learn more about this “relatively unexploited gem for graduating law students” that’s “one of the absolute best avenues for graduating 3Ls” interested in government or public service, see this prior post. Good luck to all our readers who apply!
