— A statement released by DraftKings with regard to the daily fantasy company’s hiring of Boies Schiller & Flexner to represent it in its battle royal against New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. Last week, Schneiderman declared that betting on DraftKings constituted illegal sports gambling, and ordered the company to stop operating in New York.

(Per ESPN, prior to hiring Boies Schiller, a representative for DraftKings stated that all legal work on this matter would be performed by Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. We reached out to Gibson, which informed us that Boies Schiller and Gibson Dunn will be working as co-counsel on the case.)
