Partner Absolutely Kills It At Holiday Party

I never expected this partner rap to be this... good.

Faceless man in hood on the rooftopLaw firm holiday parties can be uncomfortable enough. Balancing your overwhelming desire to have fun with the reality of keeping your job. Trying to figure out if your boss wants you to enjoy the party he or she put together or go back to your desk. Trying to figure out why that guy has a video camera. And then some partner gets up and tries to be funny. Oh, wait, no, he’s going to try and rap!?!

But then it turns out he’s pretty solid.

New York litigation boutique Holwell Shuster & Goldberg capped their annual holiday party with a performance from partner and MC Avi Israeli, dropping new rhymes over Run DMC’s Christmas classic, “Christmas in Hollis.”

You know, the firm recently outgrew its downtown office… maybe the next on the next MTV Cribs, Avi can show us around the firm’s new offices at 750 Seventh Ave.

Good job, Avi. And watch your back for those West Coast litigation boutique partners.

If you need help deciphering the lyrics, which mention the firm’s 2015 bonuses (Cravath scale) and three new partners, I’ve got them on the next page (complete with links to the lawyers involved).
