Word on the street is that Prince Henry of Wales — a member of the royal family who is more commonly known as Prince Harry — has law school on his mind, and that he’s thinking of coming to the United States to pursue a law degree. But which law school has His Royal Highness allegedly chosen to attend?

According to Page Six, Prince Harry has his sights set on Yale Law School. Here’s some more information about his supposed law school choice from the preeminent celebrity gossip website:

Star-struck students at Yale University are in a tizzy over the rumor that Prince Harry is coming to New Haven, Conn., to matriculate at Yale Law School.

“Everyone was talking about it around the campus. Big buzz!” one alumnus told me. …

Sources said former British PM Tony Blair, who briefly lectured at Yale starting in 2008, could smooth the admissions process, as he did in 2006 for his own son, Euan Blair, who even got a $92,000 scholarship.

“Yale would be over the moon to get Harry as a student,” one insider said. “Imagine the kind of fundraising they could do.”

If you’re wondering why Prince Harry, a man who’s had a history of dating young lawyers, would come to America to attend law school when there are plenty of prestigious legal academies in England, sources have suggested that he may wish to try his hand at dating a red-blooded American girl and settling down.

Don’t get your hopes up too high, Yale Law women, because others say that the prince is far too dense to attend the most prestigious law school in the country:

“I doubt it,” royal-watcher Richard Mineards said. “Harry’s not the brightest bulb in the palace chandelier. His entry exam for Eton [boarding school] was delayed because he wasn’t considered up to taking it.“

In fact, an anonymous royal official contacted the Daily Beast to give reporter Tom Sykes the straight Alito, saying it’s “[n]ot true.”

We’re not sure how this rumor got started, but for single ladies at Yale, we hope there’s a grain of truth to it. Please don’t hesitate to email us or text us (646-820-8477) if there’s a Prince Harry sighting on campus.
