Sharing information is one of the easiest ways to speed up adoption of technology and increase efficiency.

Legal tech is still an infant industry, especially when you compare it with big sister Fintech. To prove this point, I could give you all kinds of statistics and quote a bunch of studies, or I could just point out that 60 Minutes recently published a story on how Fintech is disrupting banking. When was the last time you saw Leslie Stahl producing segments on legal tech? (Side point: Leslie, or anyone at 60 Minutes, I fully expect to be called when you do, in fact, produce a segment on legal tech).

Since legal tech is niche, there just aren’t as many people who write about the industry as there are Fintech, which is unfortunate because sharing information is one of the easiest ways to speed up adoption of technology and increase efficiency. Which is why I think it’s great that ATL has not one, but several, excellent people writing about law & technology and/or legal start-ups. Today, I’d like to introduce you to another, Mary Redzic, who I routinely quote in my articles. Mary is an in-house counsel for the Vionic Group and she started Disrupt Legal where she reviews legal tech tools, often through the eyes of a potential user. Read her stuff, you will see why I love it, and why I’m excited to be chatting here on ATL with Mary this week.
