Another Boutique Proves It Has What It Takes To Be A MoneyLaw Firm

A D.C.-based litigation boutique has come to play.

hand holding stack of 100 dollar billsThe D.C. litigation boutique of Robbins, Russell, Englert, Orseck, Untereiner & Sauber LLP has come to play. The firm announced this afternoon they are increasing associate compensation, matching the Cravath scale for all associates.

The firm is noted for its trial and appellate work, and proves what we here at Above the Law have been saying since the salary grid was announced last week — the ability to pay associates this new market salary has nothing to do with a firm’s headcount. Indeed, the very first firm we reported as matching the Cravath scale was a boutique, Hueston Hennigan, who made the move the very same day.

The raises range from $20K-$35K, depending on class year, and are effective July 1. Here’s the memo from partner Jennifer S. Windom:
