Another Day, Another Biglaw Salary Bump

This is a great way to start your Thursday.

Money Piggy Bank and BusinessmanNew York lawyers are known for starting their day on the later side, strolling in at 10:15 a.m. is nothing out of the ordinary. Well, when Willkie Farr & Gallagher associates began their day today, they pretty quickly received a pleasant surprise.

Yup, at 10:19 a.m. this morning, Willkie became the latest firm to jump on the Cravath scale. And it isn’t just the New York associates getting the good news, folks in the D.C. and Houston offices (which are all of Willkie’s U.S. offices) are getting raises too.

UPDATE (10:58 a.m.): Tipsters note that the summer associates got their share of the love too.

Willkie Memo

As a tipster noted:

A little cheer just went up in the hallways.

See, Willkie associates, waiting three days for your cold, hard cash wasn’t really that bad. And now you can have your Willkie button (yes, that was apparently a real phrase in the ’50s, used similarly to the brownie button). It’s a great way to start your Thursday.
