Another West Coast Firm Adopts The $180K Salary Structure
Chalk up another big raise!
Last night, California-based litigation boutique Hueston Hennigan became the first firm to officially match Cravath’s new $180K salary structure. Today, there’s more good news out West as the firm Hueston Hennigan largely grew out of, Irell & Manella, joins the new normal.
We routinely bank on Irell to beat the market in associate compensation, so we had few doubts they’d be an early adopter of the new pay structure. When the firm bested market bonuses last year, some of our tipsters were still annoyed that the firm didn’t offer even more. So far we’ve not heard the same complaints about this bump.
Congrats folks!
