What's More Embarrassing Than Mispronouncing Your Double-Murder Defendant Client's Name?

If he'd called him Gronkowski at least I'd understand...

Aaron HernandezEasily the most famous person currently on trial for killing two people is forever New England Patriots Tight End and already convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez. Now that O.J. Simpson is safely ensconced in a jail cell for flipping out over a vintage jersey and Lawrence Phillips is safely ensconced in a cemetery, football’s premier avatar of the criminal element is America’s ersatz Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez.

Someone just needs to tell his lawyer…

Yes, that’s lawyer Jose Baez representing “Aaron Rodriguez,” a frightening amalgam who apparently murders people and pops PEDs like candy. We call him A-A-Rod.

Aaron HERNANDEZ, meanwhile, seems to take the incident in stride and laughs it off, which, considering the history of Aaron Hernandez’s reactions to perceived slights, marks a tremendous win for Jose Baez.

But seriously, you have two jobs: pronounce your name and pronounce your client’s name. When your client happens to be famous, that second half should be pretty easy. And yet here we are.

You may remember Jose Baez as Casey Anthony’s old lawyer with the curious alleged fee structure. We’re assuming Hernandez is paying for Baez’s services the old-fashioned way… with all the money he made playing at Florida.
