Fame is a complex beast. More and more we are seeing that having a stellar legal team on call is an essential element to maintaining the illusion of perfection that is key to stardom.

The latest example of using the law to wrestle a clamoring press into a more respectful place comes from Emma Watson. It seems that online tabloid Celeb Jihad, which specialized in publishing private pictures of celebrity naughty bits, had gotten a hold of pictures of Watson braless in a sheer top and published them on its website. That’s when Hermione’s lawyers sprung into action, according to TMZ:

Her legal team put it in pretty simple terms — Emma owns the pics and the copyright on them, so Celeb Jihad was breaking the law by posting them. According to the letter, the photos were taken by Emma’s stylist, who then gave Emma all rights.

Now faster than you can say “Reducto,” those images have been banished from the web.
