Stat Of The Week: More Regret Choice Of Spouse Than Choice Of Firm

So, what percentage of law firm attorneys are happy with their choice of employer?

stat imageComing soon: The 2017 ATL Power 100 Law Firm Rankings (2016 version here). Among other data, our law firm rankings draw on the 20,000+ responses to the ATL Insider Survey. The Survey asks lawyers a sort of “time-machine” hypothetical: “If you had the chance to do it all over again, would you choose to work for your firm?”

So, what percentage of law firm attorneys are happy with their choice of employer?

83.6% of law firm lawyers told us yes, they would choose their firm all over again. For all the griping we hear (and publish) about Biglaw, this is a strikingly positive finding. Consider that one survey found that only 63% of Americans would marry the same person all over again.

Extra special nods to Wachtell, Boies Schiller, and Perkins Coie, all of which recorded a 100% “no regrets” score on the part of their attorneys.
