Donald Trump, our nation’s Republican nominee for president, seems to have a penchant for threatening to sue others for libel. He is typically represented by bigly big-league Biglaw firms in these endeavors, such as Kasowitz Benson. As you may recall, Kasowitz Benson has stepped in to send letters threatening suit to the New York Times twice in the past month — once for the publication of three pages from Trump’s 1995 income tax returns, and once for the publication of allegations made by two women that Trump had sexually assaulted them.
Kasowitz Benson’s representation is all well and good, but perhaps it’s time for Trump to explore an attorney-client relationship with another law firm — one that truly understands him, one that’s willing to “defend[] against baseless charges, such as facts, logic,” and more.
