How Are You Dealing With Work, Post Trump?

How are you coping with Trumpworld while at work?

Trump BibWell, it’s been over a week since 60 million people told women to STFU and minorities that they’re not welcome here. How’s it going?

I’m, relatively speaking, lucky. It’s generally okay for me to sit behind my keyboard and tell white people to f**k off and dare people in my office to step to me.

But you guys with real jobs, how are you hanging in there? You’ve had to go to work, probably around white men. And you probably don’t work in an office where you can easily tell people to go jump in a lake. Joe Patrice asked me if I needed anything, and I told him to “not be white.” [Just kidding: Joe didn’t offer assistance, I just volunteered my opinion.]

Y’all can’t do that. How are you coping?

Women of color I know seem to be handling it the best: “You mean white males can treat women and minorities in whatever way they like without fear of consequence? ON NO, IT MUST BE TUESDAY!” I’d say that the election didn’t teach women of color anything they didn’t already know about white men.

Or white women.

But minority males, especially the highly educated one who thought, foolishly, that America was better than this seem just about ready to start the revolution. And the white women I know who didn’t think Trump would get 53% of the white female vote seem worried about whether their personal control over their bodies is now up for… grabs.
