Kid Dressed As RBG For Superhero Day -- Her Notoriousness Responds!
This kid ignored the masks and capes in her dress-up collection in favor of a low bun and a jabot.
Michele Threefoot is an 8-year-old badass. Her class had to dress up as superheroes, and instead of donning the traditional garb, she wanted to go as the one, the only, the notorious Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Inspired by a children’s book (affiliate link) about the jurist, Michele ignored the masks and capes in her dress-up collection in favor of a low bun and a jabot.
All by itself, this would a great story, but it gets better. After the story went viral, RBG got wind of the pint-sized superhero’s costume, and she reached out, as reported by Huffington Post:

The note from Ginsburg, which arrived last night, read, “Dear Michele: You look just like me! May you continue to thrive on reading and learning. Every good wish, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.”
Ginsburg has made a habit of personally reaching out to fans. This tendency has cemented her reputation as a thoughtful and conscientious public figure. Michele’s mom has said it is RBG’s fight for justice that so inspired her daughter:
Despite being a little overwhelmed by all the attention, Mom says, “I would really to thank Justice Ginsburg for being such an inspiration to all of us, and for being so committed to fighting for equality. This wouldn’t have gone where it has if she weren’t such an admirable person. I also want to thank her for taking the time to make a little girl really, really happy.”
Finally, a feel-good moment Donald Trump hasn’t s**t all over.
