Without Access To Federal Loans, Charlotte Law Tries To Get Students To Transfer To Florida Coastal Law

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

student loan debt forgivenessDefinitely not. I don’t want anything to do with Infilaw.

— Tami Schack, a current student at the Charlotte School of Law, when asked if she would transfer to an Infilaw sister school. According to recent reports, thanks to the loss of federal loan funding for its students, the administration at Charlotte Law is trying to help students transfer to Florida Coastal School of Law, another for-profit Infilaw institution that’s three states away. Charlotte Law is currently facing a $5 million class-action lawsuit filed by its students.

The school will not be enrolling new students for the spring 2017 semester, and current students seem to be in limbo. As of today’s date, Charlotte Law is still providing information on its Financial Aid webpage as to the types of federal loans that students may access to finance their education at the school.
