It’s prom time again and, in addition to making the annual nut of tuxedo rental places everywhere, this means it’s time to hear about all the wild and wacky ways the kids are asking each other to prom these days.

But here’s a trend that a lot of local law enforcement is supporting: fake arrests! Like this phony drug bust cum “promposal” or this kid who avoided “multiple traps” set by police before finally getting pulled over to get asked out.

Police probably think these egregious breaches of the Fourth Amendment are helping their image.

They’re not.
