Law Student Found Dead In Car After Being Missing For Almost A Week

He was a 'beloved' member of the law school community.

We’ve got some sad news to report out of Massachusetts today, where a promising young law student was found dead in his car.

Nicholas Williams, 25, a third-year student at Suffolk University Law School, was reported as missing almost a week before he was was found. According to the Boston Police Department, a missing persons report was filed after Williams failed to appear for his weekend job as an advocacy intern. WISN TV has more information:

Authorities said they do not suspect foul play in the death of 25-year-old Nicholas Williams, who was last seen Wednesday, Aug. 9.

Beverly Williams said detectives told her that her step-son likely died of sarcoidosis, the medical condition that took his hearing and later affected his vision.

Williams said her step-son didn’t have his medication with him when he was reported missing.

Nicholas Williams

Williams was the editor-in-chief of Dicta, the Suffolk Law student newspaper, an officer in the Student Bar Association, and a member of the Black Law Students Association. Marisa Kelly, the acting president of Suffolk University, said Williams was a “beloved member of the law school community with a genuine love of learning” who “embraced opportunities to engage in the law school community.”

“As a community, we mourn for Nicholas and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and to all those who knew and loved him,” Kelly said. “He was a friend to many students, sharing his smiles and good-natured personality with all he encountered.”

We here at Above the Law would like to extend our condolences to Nicholas Williams’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
