A Curious Law School Pitch To Prospective Students

Law schools work a lot of different angles to bring in students. This is a pretty non-traditional one.

RobertsLaw schools make some fascinating pitches to sway prospective students into their seats. Sometimes they play up hotshot professors, their ATL Top 50 ranking (stay tuned because the 2016 rankings will be out soon), groundbreaking clinics, or notable alums.

But this school took a different route when it sent out its appeal. Would you choose your law school based on toys? George Mason is hoping you might:

GMU Bobblehead

Seriously though, it’s nice to see a school own up to a whimsical side. If you’ve never seen the Supreme Court bobbleheads that Professor Ross Davies makes, then you are really missing out. The David Souter doll plays Modest Mouse!

Most students aren’t going to pull the trigger over proximity to rare bobbleheads, but at least this is an honest pitch to legal geeks and not some disingenuous subway spiel.

Now if they can just get U.S. News to count the bobblehead collection as “volumes in the library,” Mason is sitting pretty.
