JD/MBA Bonuses?

I'm clerking this summer at a biglaw firm in Dallas where they supposedly give "other advanced degree" bonuses on a case-by-case basis (at least according to their NALP form).

Does anybody have any info on which firms give these bonuses? How much? I've heard that my firm in has in the past granted a one year advancement bonus, where you come in as a 2nd year associate. Are such bonuses still in force in today's market?

Where did you do your JD/MBA? I already have a JD from Hofstra and I am going to Zarb (Hofstra) this fall, so I am also interested in this, but I am leaning more toward private equity or investment banking than law. I hope we get some good responses to this thread, just in case I decide to go into law. Good luck.

I think CBC means that you get a year jump in seniority if your MBA is from a top 10.
