Director of Training & Business Development

Great on the Job (GOTJ) is a communication-training firm that teaches young people to speak strategically, effectively and persuasively at work, every day, in every situation. GOTJ workshops focus on the daily, one-on-one conversations that comprise 80% of the workday, that while critical to success, are largely overlooked by corporate and academic training programs alike. For example, how to ask for help without sounding dumb, answer questions you don’t know the answer to, ask for and get meaningful feedback, score great assignments, handle screw ups and stumbles, master internal networking, and more.

The power of the program is proven by a distinguished client list (Harvard Business School, Wharton, NYU Stern, Kellogg School of Management, Johnson School at Cornell, Fortune 500 clients and top-tier Wall Street firms) and off-the-chart approval ratings consistently exceeding 90%. Great on the Job workshops are interactive, unique and extremely high-impact; they typically range from 90 minutes to ½ day, with a mixture of role-play and small group breakouts.

Founder & President Jodi Glickman is a former Peace Corps Volunteer (Chile) turned investment banker (Goldman, Sachs’ & Co.) turned communication expert. She is the author of the critically acclaimed: Great on the Job: What to Say, How to Say It. The Secrets of Getting Ahead and is a nationally recognized workplace expert who writes regularly for Harvard Business Review and weighs in for media outlets such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fortune, USA Today, and MSNBC among others.

After working with top-tier Wall Street firms and MBA programs for the last three years in order to create a best-in class product, Great on the Job is expanding its program offerings to law schools and corporate law firms.
