My sandwich leaked through it bag during the morning session last July. Also, most of the people I know from law school passed the bar. That, to me, is a horror story.

I love going to meetings at BigLaw firms. I might be amongst the lowest paid....but I can buy my suits in standard sizes, don't know where those fatties get theres, and whats the deal with all the carby food at depos???....oh and I was in the clothing business before law so I roll in Oxxford and Hickey-Freeman Custom....Rolex/Tag/Patek just to show off name....got a nice Pasquale Bruni automatic for formal events.

real advice...nothing too loud, if you want to showcase your individuality get some fancy cufflinks or a nice (i.e. NOT NOVELTY) tie and for goodness sake matching shoes/sox/belt (refrain from gator/croc at initial interview). Pocketwatch always a nice touch.

Don't buy bespoke if you are young and in BigLaw. You will be too fat to fit in to your clothes soon. Better buy some of those elastic waist pants. I'd rather have a tall well spoken individual in a decent suit or a wise sharply dressed old guy participating in oral arguments on my behalf than one of the shlubby, sun deprived beasts I see patrolling the streets in midtown at midnight when I am going home from a night out and your going home from doing the 37th round of mark-ups on a merger document that will never actually leave your office.

1. Quit

2. If you fail #1, make sure you know right people

3. If you fail #1 and #2, cheat

Law is a joke. In three years time you could earn $100k and you know, be on your way to a career as opposed to starting a job you will leave in less time it took you to spend $150k to get the degree in the first place. And don't start in with the "I want to help people and make a difference". Anyone can help people and make a difference and a law degree from any school will allow you to represent those people who truly need it.
