This is my new handle until this contest ends. The avatar is an actual photo of Marin from her personal blog that she linked in her ATL bio.

Some of you find Marin "shamazing"--a word frequently used on her website--when she is not posting photos of Clay Aiken, reasons why she was ready to die after forcing an awkward conversation on a famous musician at a diner ["because no other moment in my life has been greater"], or talking about “Daddykins".

Read her linked blog and make up you own mind:

Who knows, Marin has been the top vote getter so far. Maybe this is the "new direction" the majority of ATL readers want. (I am hoping not.)

Nevertheless, until the final selection is made or Marin goes, consider me the Anti-Marinhead.

Finally, a topic Alex could sink his teeth into.

Awful.

Great lead sentence, good quote, then the whole thing falls apart.

PS: The ABA J blog has been very supportive of ATL, and even apart from that it is neither smart nor amusing to gratuitously attack another blawg.

My work is done here.

Witness is testifying about 499 preemptory challenges that her Fatness received.

God, Halverson’s attorney is annoying.

rrection, Halverson’s share of the preemptory challenges were 199.

Next largest department was 48, same time frame.

Tom Goldstein: Marin is *shamateurish*.

Need I say more?

(Great links in the Goldstein post, BTW.)

Dear 20:

Alex has no chance of making it.

Therefore if the Alex voters switch to Sophist (let's face it, the #1 choice anyway) then the dreaded Marin and her Marinheads will be gone by Monday noon.

And F & D is climbing because she is second best qualified.

RE: Strategic voting

Dear fellow anti-Marinheads:

Thank you for you cooperation. This may the first time in ATL history when we have put aside our differences to vanquish a common annoyance.

We re almost there. But the threat remains.

Twice the Marinheads have rallied, pushing the Schamazer’s % back above 18, and twice we have collectively driven her numbers down. More important, we have pushed the numbers of her nearest opponent (F&D) up to a level that (we hope) the Aruba vacationing Marin cannot reach.

But please keep your eye on the prize. It is far more important to keep F&D’s numbers up (but not higher than Sophist) than to have Marin come in last.

Lets not get greedy and blow it.

Thank you,

AnyoneButMarin

OK, now yo have reallllly done it!!!!

You have forced me to come out of retirement and assume my super-ego identity post retirement.

ALL I am saying is that harvard-harvard should stay frosty, get his game on, and take NOTHING for granted.

Second, credit where credit is due.

F & D found a subtle way to deny that she is THAT F & D.

That is all.

Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Oh, for fuck sake 112--how cold anyone be so fricking obtuse.

I think Sophist is the better candidate. I just don't want him to think he has a cake walk and blow it in the last round.

Clear enough for your addled brain?

Yes, F & D was the unintended beneficiary of the campaign, but that does not mean he/she has to give up and not do her best either.

Jesus H. Christ.

116: Sorry, my bad.

If that was your blue Beemer that my cast iron Swingline stapler hit when I flung it out the window, I apologize....

113: Could not have used Alex, he was way behind when the strategic voting began to make the whole thing work.

Good lord, some of you are soooo dense.....
