ET is a Suffolk grad and remains gainfully employed, unlike you T14 grads who are jobless and have no meaningful skills. Go 4th Tier.
This is another example of the fraud of Big Law. On ET's homeworld, salaries only go UP, they never go DOWN. Big Law ex-associates have no meaningful skills and are only fit for the document review mines under their former firms. Its only a matter of time before toileteers rule you all.
The obsession with “lockstep” and other such minutiae is indicative of the slave mentality that is rampant among the drones of Big Law. Once upon at time, ET too worked in private practice but could not stand the stench of the scut work, billable hours and the continual competition among the other drones for more scut work. ET freed himself, but the other drones were too afraid to leave. You are their heirs and are paying the consequences for refusing to think for your selves.
Big Law is dead. Unless you have more then 5 years of practice and a book of buisness those laid off will not find another job in Big Law.
I have instructed my kind to except those that repent by July 15 for their elitist ways, to be accepted into the toileteer ranks were they will make their way like attorneys of yore –real work, reasonable hours and pay. This offer however will not last forever. For those unwise to persist in their elitist ways, come July 16, only the document review mines await you.

to 104 - Nope. I live in NJ, but it is obviously easier to land a job in DC. Like I said you can always xfer w/i your agency or to another. In this environment do what you have to do.
Gov't Lawyer is a fake. ET works for the fed gov't and can testify that only a few crappy agencies hire sloths like Gov't Lawyer. Its possible that Gov't Lawyer has a cut 'n paste job at the SSA, but nothing more serious then that.
I would suggest to all deferred Big Law associates that they use this free money to gain real experience as attorneys to prepare for when their offers are invariably cancelled. T14 grads will be competing with legions of toileteers for the lowest level gutter work and will need every possible advantage.
Associates who accept the the fake brickbats thrown their way deserve their fate. “Performance based” reviews are nothing but frauds that will set up a basis to deny the laid off associate unemployment when their severance runs out. It is important for associates to fight back & join the Toileteer revolution.

I once shit my pants during an interview when I farted in between interviewers while I was waiting in the conference room. Before I had a chance to leave, two interviewers came in. I noticed that this interview was shorter then the the first half.
