    * Vice President Mike Pence says he’s “confident” that Judge Brett Kavanaugh will be confirmed to the Supreme Court “before the fall is out” — and he’s probably correct about that. [FOX Business]

    * In other news related to the high court, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she’s got “at least five more years” on the Supreme Court before she’ll think about stepping down. As always, RBG continues to remain NO-NO-NO-NOTORIOUS! [CNN]

    * According to one of President Trump’s former lawyers, Rudy Giuliani has weakened the case against Michael Cohen by flip-flopping on the man’s credibility, referring to him as an “an honest, honorable lawyer” and later as a “pathological liar.” [CNN]

    * Just in case you forgot, not only did Michael Cohen go to the “worst law school in the country,” but “[h]e’s bitter Trump didn’t give him a job.” [Page Six / New York Post]

    * Former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore has filed a “political conspiracy” lawsuit over his failed bid for the U.S. Senate seat that was left vacant by AG Jeff Sessions, claiming that false advertisements were behind his loss. [Newsweek]

    * Last week, Facebook lost more than $100 billion in value, the biggest single-day loss in stock market history. Shareholders have responded in the most obvious way possible, with a proposed class-action lawsuit. [New York Law Journal]

    * After its unexpected closure, Savannah Law School will soon find new life — as an art school. The Savannah College of Art and Design purchased the law school building from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law for a cool $27.5 million. [Savannah Morning News]

    * Hooooo boy, this just got even better! President Trump and his attorney Michael Cohen plan to file a motion to stay the Stormy Daniels suit on the grounds that in the wake of the FBI raid on Cohen’s office and the ensuing criminal investigation, continuing the Daniels litigation could violate Cohen’s right not to incriminate himself under the Fifth Amendment.     * In other news, President Trump is set to pardon Scooter Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney‘s former chief of staff, who was convicted in 2007 of lying to the FBI and obstruction of justice in the investigation into the leak of former CIA operative Valerie Plame’s identity. [ABC News

    * When the AP was investigating a $30K payout that American Media Inc. made to a doorman to keep quiet about a rumor involving President Trump’s love child with a former employee, reporters had some trouble with a Biglaw firm that was recently involved in another sexual misconduct case — Boies Schiller. [American Lawyer]

    * HoLove learning to show love? The firm is ditching its “broken” associate performance review system for its new “Pathways” program, which will provide them with “flash feedback” from partners about how they’re doing on a year-round basis. [National Law Journal]

    * Your tuition dollars actually at work: Georgia State Law is using predictive modeling and data analytics to identify students who may be at risk for failing the bar exam after their first year of studying law. Administrators at the school want to be able to help students before it’s too late. [Daily Report Online]

    * Savannah Law School may not be closing after all? It seems that talks are underway to donate the law school’s charter to another college or university, like Savannah State and Georgia Southern. Savannah Law’s new owner would get everything but the law school building itself. [Fox 28 Media]

    * Attorney General Jeff Sessions won’t be appointing a second special counsel to examine political bias in the handling of investigations by the FBI and DOJ just yet, but not to worry, because the Inspector General and the U.S. Attorney for Utah are on the case. [Politico]

    * Lawyer.com spokesperson Lindsay Lohan lost her invasion of privacy case against the maker of “Grand Theft Auto V” at the New York Court of Appeals in a unanimous decision penned by Judge Eugene Fahey, who said the video game character LiLo alleged was based on her was “not reasonably identifiable as plaintiff.”  [Reuters]

    * As it turns out, Savannah Law School won’t be immediately ceasing operations in early June. Now, the law school plans to move to another location within the city, and will close over the next five years without admitting any new students. [Savannah Morning News]

    * Adnan Syed, the subject of the hit podcast “Serial,” had his murder conviction vacated by the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. His case has been remanded for a new trial on all charges. [New York Times]

    * “Mark, it hurts! You’re hurting me… Don’t be so rough.” In case you missed it, a juror fainted during trial after watching a video of graphic sex between a Texas attorney who traded sex for legal services and one of his clients. Yeehaw… [FOX News]

    * As it turns out, Joe diGenova — the lawyer who’s convinced that the Justice Department is trying to frame Trump with its Russia investigation — won’t be joining the president’s personal legal team after all due to conflicts of interest. DiGenova’s wife, Victoria Toensing, has been conflicted out as well. Oopsie! [New York Times]

    * President Trump tweeted this weekend that “[m]any lawyers and top law firms want to represent me in the Russia case,” and that his difficulty in finding lawyers to join his defense team is “Fake News.” Meanwhile, at least four defense attorneys at separate Biglaw firms have been approached, and most have turned down the offer. [CNN]

    * In her 60 Minutes interview, Stormy Daniels says she was once physically threatened to keep quiet about her affair with Donald Trump and was later pressured into signing a false statement denying the affair because she believed that Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal attorney, would “make [her] life hell.” Cohen has denied threatening Daniels.     * In the summer of 2014, Bracewell & Giuliani warned Cambridge Analytica that foreign citizens shouldn’t have “substantive management” roles running U.S. election campaigns, and yet, that’s exactly what the company did in its work with the Trump campaign, and now Robert Mueller is on the case. [Washington Examiner; TIME]

    * Some law firms in the U.K. have started including information on partners’ salaries in their mandatory gender pay gap reporting. The first firms to do so were Norton Rose Fulbright, with a 27 percent pay gap for all employees (including partners), and Reed Smith, with an 8 percent pay gap among only partners. [Financial Times]

    * Law student Jordan Crewe has already filed suit against the soon-to-be-closed Savannah Law School, accusing the school of committing fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. She’s requesting punitive damages from the school, and wants a jury trial too. [WSAV]
