Beleaguered Lawyer Politely Tells Attorney Ethics Director To Go Eff Himself

Thanks so much for the back up. Look personally between me and you GO F**K YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

— Michael E. Rychel, a New Jersey attorney, in an email sent to Charles Centinaro, director of the Office of Attorney Ethics, during an investigation into Rychel’s alleged wrongdoing. Rychel originally emailed an OAE investigator, saying, “Tell Charles Centinaro that I said to go f**k him self [sic] !!!!!!!! Quote me in your report!!!!!!!” Rychel testified that he emailed Centinaro himself because he was afraid his message wouldn’t be passed along. Rychel was reprimanded earlier this month for violating an ethics rule that requires lawyers to treat others involved in the legal process with courtesy.
