Barack Obama Shares Kind Words About How Ketanji Brown Jackson Has 'Inspired Young Black Women'

She'll make a fantastic Supreme Court justice.

I want to congratulate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on her nomination to the Supreme Court. Judge Jackson has already inspired young Black women like my daughters to set their sights higher, and her confirmation will help them believe they can be anything they want to be.

— Former President Barack Obama, who first nominated Ketanji Brown Jackson to be a federal judge in 2012, in comments given in the wake of her nomination by President Joe Biden to become a SCOTUS justice. If confirmed, Jackson will be the first Black woman on the high court.
