It's April And This Firm Is Showering Associates With Cash
Get out the umbrellas, because this firm is making it rain.
It’s been more than a month since Cravath entered the scene to announce a bigger and better salary scale, and one by one by one by one, Biglaw and boutique firms alike have adopted the generous compensation package for their own associates.
The latest to do so is Seward & Kissel, a firm that’s existed for more than 130 years. Management informed associates this past Thursday that they would be receiving raises on the Cravath scale — and based on the tips we’ve received, they seem to be pretty excited about it. Here’s the firm’s new salary scale:
Class of 2021: $215,000
Class of 2020: $225,000
Class of 2019: $250,000
Class of 2018: $295,000
Class of 2017: $345,000
Class of 2016: $370,000
Class of 2015: $400,000
Class of 2014+: $415,000
The new salaries took effect on April 1, and there was no foolin’ about it. Congratulations to everyone at the firm!
