Lawyer Donates Another $50M To Get Second Law School Named After Him

hundreds money bonusesIt was a natural step for me to take today. It will mean that roughly three of 10 graduates of Pa. law schools will be at a Kline School of Law, one on one side of the state and one at the other.

Thomas R. Kline, a Philadelphia trial lawyer, commenting in an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, on his $50 million gift to his alma mater, Duquesne University School of Law, which will now be known as the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University. In 2014, Kline gave $50 million to Drexel University School of Law, which is now known as the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. Kline’s gift to Duquesne was the largest the school had ever received in its 144-year history.
