One by one, the Biglaw dominos on special bonuses continue to fall. Ever since Davis Polk pulled their trademark move of coming in over the top, it’s become patently obvious that other firms should get in on the bonus matching game. In case it isn’t clear yet, the latest firm offer special bonuses to associates is a leading intellectual property firm.
This afternoon, Fish & Richardson announced to associates that they’d be showering them with extra cash. This is great news, considering the firm skipped out on the first round of COVID appreciation bonuses. These is what the bonuses look like at the firm (full memo available on the next page):
