Maybe King & Spalding Thinks There’s A Whole Country Of Gay People Somewhere?

King & Spalding has had fun times navigating the world of LGBT political correctness. The firm took some heat when one of its partners at the time, former U.S. Solicitor General Paul Clement, signed on to defend the Defense of Marriage Act. Then K&S took even more heat when it nixed Clement’s DOMA representation, causing Clement to resign.

You know that King & Spalding just wants to stay as far away as possible from any LGBT issue. The only thing they want to have sex with is fees.

But sometimes, attempts to be PC lead directly to hilarity…

Here’s an online form you can complete to get additional information from K&S. Can you spot the funny? (We’ve taken a screenshot and pasted it below, in case they fix the form; click to enlarge.)

I really didn’t know that sexual orientation was an ethnicity now. I mean, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

But if gays and lesbians want to get their own country, they’re going to have to get in line behind African-Americans, who are still waiting for their own land that is partially in Africa and partially in America. Actually, how ’bout we give the rest of Georgia to African-Americans, Florida to gays and lesbians, and Alabama to people who understand defensive football requires hitting people and are cool with it.

Oh, wait, I forgot Native Americans. But, in fairness, I don’t even know what kind of freaky sex they have.

Thank you for your interest in King & Spalding. [King & Spalding /]
