— Texas Supreme Court, Per Curiam, ruling in the case of poor Monte Carlo, a German Shepherd at the center of a three-year legal battle. After running away, a dog rescue outfit took in Monte Carlo and refused to give him back to his humans because “they did not come to claim him in his first three days at the pound” (read: when they still didn’t know the pound had him).
