Clio

Clio has released the 2021 Legal Trends Report. Now in its sixth year, the 2021 Legal Trends Report includes aggregated responses from 150,000 legal professionals using Clio over the last two years, as well as, survey responses from more than 1,000 legal professionals and 1,000 general consumers in the U.S. on what they deem most important to them today and in a post-COVID world. This analysis identified technology adoption as a key aspect of law firm survival and success during the height of the pandemic. In 2021, the most successful firms continue to adopt technological solutions for more flexible client-centered services. Click here to find out more.

Clio has also introduced Clio Payments. With Clio’s all new payments suite built into Clio Manage, law firms can make it easy for clients to pay their bills online with debit, credit, or eCheck. You can send trust payment requests and maintain evergreen retainers—all while maintaining compliance with trust accounting rules. Allowing clients to pay with automated, flexible payment plans has the potential to make legal services much more accessible to those who need them most by giving consumers the flexibility to pay over a longer period of time. This can be a competitive advantage for firms acquiring clients in the first place, but also a valuable tool for improving collection rates in the long run. You can find out more here.

Following substantial growth and record-breaking Series D and E funding rounds, Clio expands its C-suite portfolio by naming a new Chief Operating Officer, Chief People Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer. This new structure will see the C-suite double in size and bring on new leaders from high growth stage and public companies, while also further leveraging the tenure and deep experience of existing engineering and marketing leads.
