Assembly Legal

Late last year, Assembly Legal announced the launch of their new lead management intake solution, Neos Intake Pro. The solution brings end-to-end client management to Neos cloud-based case management software, allowing firms to capture leads effectively, and turn more of them into clients. Clio

Introducing Clio Payments

Clio recently added native payment processing to their cloud-based offerings. Clio Payments is now available in their flagship practice management system, Clio Manage. Legal professionals can manage the entire legal client journey—from client intake, all the way through payment collection—through one secure, compliant, and trusted system.

Clio launched their anticipated 2021 Legal Trends Report. The report focuses on how legal professionals are harnessing technology to adapt their services to new consumer expectations while building more successful, resilient firms. Filevine

Vinesign, the eSignature solution from Filevine, released an enhanced document verification service, accomplished through the use of private Blockchain technology. The new, publicly available verification portal allows anyone to confirm key details about a Vinesigned document and its signatures in order to uphold its authenticity. Learn more about it here.

Filevine, the Legal Work Platform, announced that its security practices meet Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II standards based on an independent audit conducted by Marcum, LLP, an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) auditing firm. SOC 2 reports are industry-recognized, independent audits that provide assurance about the design and effectiveness of controls in place at a service organization, demonstrating the company’s ability to adhere to critical security practices. The rigorous audit included five security domains: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

Get Staffed Up

Litify

MyCase

MyCase, a leading provider of cloud-based legal practice management software and payment services to law firms, recently welcomed the addition of Chief Product and Technology Officer, Arman Samani. Samani joins MyCase as an accomplished industry leader with over two decades of experience in building and overseeing innovation at high-growth SaaS businesses.

The leadership team expansion comes on the heels of multiple acquisitions and product feature announcements. Most notably, the company recently unveiled its new Accounting and Drive functionalities, set for release in 2022:

  • MyCase Drive is a complete desktop document management solution that syncs to MyCase, allowing firms to efficiently find and organize documents using their computer’s file explorer and advanced search capabilities.
  • Available in 2022, MyCase Accounting is a fully integrated, legal-specific accounting solution that centralizes a law firm’s financial data, eliminates redundant data entry across multiple systems, and ensures trust compliance with easy, three-way reconciliation.

In addition to the new features, MyCase continues to expand its core product with new integrations that allow lawyers to work more efficiently with their existing technology. LEX Reception is the most recent addition to MyCase’s expanding set of integrations, which include Mailchimp, Smith.ai, and more. 

PracticePanther

PracticePanther released new product enhancements to their all-in-one legal case management platform, along with educational content and resources for law firms to remain profitable with legal technology and online payments.

PracticePanther announced in early February that firms can now request an unlimited amount of documents for electronic signatures with their built-in eSignature feature at no additional cost. Having the ability to send, track, and store documents for signature allows users to streamline their documents process and gain better visibility into their signature trail.

Access PracticePanther’s on-demand webinar where Payment Specialist, Zach Herrmann, speaks on how a streamlined intake and billing process prompts clients to pay their invoices faster. Additionally, PracticePanther released an eBook with attorney and founder of Red Cave Legal, Jared Correia, where he presents the business case for law firms on the need for online payments and identifies the blockers for law firms slow to adopt it.

Rocket Matter

This fall, Rocket Matter added a host of new functionalities to their fully integrated practice management software.

Firms using Rocket Matter’s new Premier Tier now have access to powerful advanced functionalities including:

  • A new Business Intelligence Module. Users can quickly generate advanced reports and analyze key performance indicators from within a simple drag-and-drop interface.
  • Effortless e-signatures. Rocket Matter’s integration with ImagineShare allows attorneys to send e-signature documents and requests directly from their email addresses. E-signature documents can also be generated and sent from within Outlook without switching to a secondary software.
  • Customizable billing rules. Law firms can define custom rules on a case-by-case basis to ensure that timekeepers adhere to important billing requirements. Insurance defense attorneys will greatly benefit from customizable LEDES billing audit rules, which prevent invoice rejection based on LEDES code billing errors.
  • Paperless prebills. Firms can now move work into a “prebill” status so they can review and audit prior to invoicing.
  • Automated billing cycles. Users can easily schedule auto-generated prebills.

SmartAdvocate

SmartAdvocate recently announced its latest software release, featuring over 1,000 enhancements. Among them are new visual themes, customized dashboards and new screens for specialized cases that involve Social Security Disability and Veterans’ Affairs. Also added to the software, are several updates which will help firms increase their productivity. Users will be able to perform mass emails/faxes from the SmartAdvocate Medical Records Follow-up Dashboard, and combine multiple documents into a PDF. This release also includes new integrations which will allow users to utilize full text search in Word and PDF documents, secure medical record services, eSignature solutions, litigation support and accounting services.

Zola Suite

Zola Suite has announced their exclusive integration with HotDocs®, the world’s leading document automation platform. Designed in close collaboration with the HotDocs engineering team, this integration enables firms to use the data they’ve already captured in Zola Suite to be used directly in HotDocs, resulting in a massive increase in productivity.
