Et Tu, Laurence Tribe?

Why is a leading liberal legal scholar coming to the defense of Big Coal?

When I saw the brief, I thought, this is dazzling. And the fact that it was written by a guy on the other side made it even better…. He’s about to be banned from a lot of cocktail parties.

Michael McKenna, a Republican energy lobbyist based in Washington, commenting on how Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe, a leading liberal scholar of constitutional law, is representing the coal industry in its challenge to EPA regulations aimed at fighting global warming.

(In good news for Professor Tribe, he and his co-author, Joshua Matz, just got nominated for the ABA Silver Gavel Award for their acclaimed book, Uncertain Justice: The Roberts Court and the Constitution (affiliate link).)
